On July 20, McDonald’s Hong Kong announced the first-ever McNuggets-themed exhibition Coach McNugget Art World, curated by Hong Kong entrepreneur Kevin Poon, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Chicken McNuggets.

From July 29 to August 20, the exhibition will showcase art, technology and culture, and feature more than 20 artworks from creatives including Korean American designer Vandy The Pink, British artist Jon Burgerman, American artist UFO907, Korean artist Gyuhan Lee and Hong Kong-based Dutch artist FrankNitty3000.

All sales proceeds from the exhibition will go towards the Ronald McDonald House Charities Hong Kong, an NGO providing housing for terminally and chronically ill children who are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The exhibition aims to showcase the cultural significance the fast-food chain has had in the city, offering a unique and thought-provoking reflection on the intersection between art and pop culture.
